We received an enthusiastic welcome from the Cook Elementary children, who peppered us with questions and impressed us with suggestions for good words to look up. A few
didn't understand at first that this was their dictionary to keep forever (not the school's property). The look on one student's face when it sank in that this was a present was priceless. She could barely contain her
excitement and kept standing up and sitting down throughout the remainder of the presentation.
We left energized and happy we came and look forward to helping out next year with this very important project.
